CONGRATULATIONS VENUS WILLIAMS!!!

In the Saturday Wimbledons Women’s Finals Venus took the prized title 7-5, 6-4.  She finally did this after losing five Grand Slam titles to her epic sister Serena.

Good job ladies! SHERAPOVA COULD LEARN SOMETHING FROM YALL!

The chosen ones are now honorary citizens of Nice (they’re not even born yet wtf!):

Wow I wish I was adopted by these two “amazing” people.  Brad Pitt and Angelina get so much kudos in the land of Nice, France- they might name a couple of roads after them.  Angelina is still resting in the Lenval Hospital waiting for the twins to pop out. I wonder if they’ll pop out wrapped in gold.  Everyone’s probably expecting that…so the mayor of Nice told the reporters on Friday:

“That is for the citizens of Nice a very great honor and a great satisfaction. We are very happy for this choice of Mrs. Angelina Jolie and Mr. Brad Pitt and I want to say to them that I wish a lot of joy to them and the babies, and great success for all of their lives. All their lives they will be Nicois and all their life they will be able to come to Nice and we will receive them with great honor.”

Jeez, why don’t we just have the three wise men come down and present them with some of Jesus’ gifts.  Lets just rename the twin’s birthday as Christmas.  Let’s forget about people who deserved to be recognized and honored in this world.

Congratulations Brangelina. You almost own the universe-next stop: giving birth on the moon.

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz: Fun on the Fourth

Continuing along with their sociable ways, parents-to-be Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz visited a friend’s house in celebration of Independence Day on Friday (July 4).

The “Outta My Head” singer and her Fall Out Boy hubby chatted it up for awhile before toting their baby bulldog Rigby to the car for the short ride home.

Rihanna Rocks Essence Festival Stage

Opting to work on Independence Day, Rihanna took the stage to perform at the Louisiana Superdome during the 2008 Essence Music Festival on Friday (July 4).

The New Orleans based festival, which kicked off yesterday and runs until Sunday, “celebrates black music and culture and moved to Houston in 2006 after Hurricane Katrina smashed New Orleans. It returned in 2007, and organizers say Essence is now re-establishing its place in the city.”

Kate and Lance’s Independence Day Smooch

With their romance in full bloom, Kate Hudson and Lance Armstrong joined in on the Fourth of July festivities at pal Courteney Cox’s house on Friday (July 4).

For the celebratory outing, Kate sported a festive hair wrap while carrying her son Ryder - who appeared to be sound asleep - as Lance stood nearby.
